A handcrafted piece that comes through your door in plain packaging is still a handcrafted piece. But it doesn’t feel that way. At KIMAIAN, we believe the experience of receiving something beautiful should begin before you open the box — and that the ritual of unwrapping should feel commensurate with what’s inside.
The KIMAIAN box
Our pieces are shipped in a rigid box, black, with the KIMAIAN name embossed on the lid. The weight of the box is deliberate — it signals, before you open it, that what is inside has been taken seriously.
The tissue and the ribbon
Inside, your piece is wrapped in tissue paper — cream, with our logo — and secured with a KIMAIAN ribbon. The tissue paper is not there to protect the garment (though it does). It is there to create a pause between the outside of the box and the piece itself. A moment of anticipation.
The thank-you card
Every order includes a handwritten-style thank-you card. Not a printed flyer. A card that acknowledges the specific piece you’ve chosen and thanks you for trusting us with it. We know that the women who buy KIMAIAN are choosing something rare — a limited-edition piece that will not come back — and that choice deserves to be acknowledged.
The scent
We include a small sachet of oud-scented tissue in every order. Oud is the wood of the Gulf — a fragrance that has been used in the region for centuries, associated with occasion and generosity. It is a small gesture, but one that places the piece in its world.
Why packaging matters for limited edition pieces
A KIMAIAN piece is not a commodity. It is a limited-edition handcrafted object. When you give one as a gift — and many of our customers do, for birthdays, for Eid, for new arrivals in a family — the packaging is part of the gift. The person receiving it should feel, from the moment the box is placed in their hands, that something has been made for them.
